Sermon Title: “Random Acts of Kindness”
The Fruit of the Spirit comes from the Bible in Galatians 5:22–23. These are the qualities that are produced in a believer’s life when the Holy Spirit is at work within them.

Selfless, unconditional care for others—reflecting God’s love. -

A deep, lasting happiness that is not based on circumstances. -
Peace 🕊️
Inner calm and trust in God, even during life’s storms. -
Longsuffering (Patience) ⏳
The ability to endure difficult people or situations without giving up. -
Kindness 🤝
Showing compassion and generosity to others. -
Goodness 🌟
Living with integrity and doing what is right. -
Faithfulness 🙏
Being reliable, loyal, and committed to God and others. -
Gentleness (Meekness) 🌼
Strength under control—humility in how you treat others. -
Self-Control (Temperance) 🛑
The ability to discipline your actions, emotions, and desires.
Key Scripture:
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16
Introduction
Church, we live in a world that is often harsh, hurried, and hurting.
People are carrying burdens we cannot see… fighting battles we do not know about.
Kids and adults hooked on social media, wars, high gas prices. (lady at gas station)
But God has given us something simple—yet powerful—to change the atmosphere around us:
Kindness.
Not planned.
Not calculated.
Not expecting anything in return.
Just random acts of kindness.

1. Kindness is the Character of God
Before kindness was something we do, it is something God is.
The Bible tells us:
Psalm 145:8 “The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion…” —
God shows kindness every day:
• He wakes us up
• He gives us breath
• He extends mercy when we don’t deserve it
We are recipients of His kindness daily.
So when we show kindness, we are reflecting God Himself. Show kindness randomly
You don’t have to preach a sermon—
Think about this way…..Sometimes your kindness is the sermon.
2. Kindness Doesn’t Have to Be Big to Be Powerful
We often think impact requires something grand…
But Jesus showed us something different.
• A touch healed (A HUG Comforts someone when they are struggling with SOMETHING
• A word lifted
• A moment changed a life
Kindness works the same way.
A smile
A phone call
A kind word
A small gift
A helping hand
These may seem small to you…
But they can be life-changing to someone else.
Never underestimate what God can do through something simple.
3. Kindness is Seed Sown Into the Kingdom
Movie ‘Pay it Forward’
Galatians 6:9 reminds us:
“Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
Every act of kindness is a seed.
• You may not see the harvest immediately
• You may never know the full impact
But God sees it.
Kindness:
• Breaks bitterness
• Softens hearts
• Opens doors for the Gospel
You are planting seeds in places your words may never reach.
4. Kindness is a Witness Without Words
In a divided world, kindness stands out.
PEOPLE ARE BRUITIAL ON SOCAIL MEDIA , BUT I DARE SAY MOST WOULD NOT SAY THE THINGS THEY SAY TO A PERSON FACE-TO-FACE
People may reject your message…
But they cannot ignore your love.
Jesus said:
— John 13:35 “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
Your kindness might be:
• The only Bible someone reads
• The only Jesus someone sees
5. Kindness Requires Intention, Not Convenience
Let’s be honest—kindness isn’t always easy.
Sometimes:
• You’re tired
• You’ve been hurt
• You don’t feel like giving
But kindness is not about convenience…
It’s about obedience.
God may nudge you to:
• Help someone you don’t know (Gas station)
• Forgive someone who hurt you
• Give when it stretches you
That’s not random to God…
That’s divine assignment.
6. Jesus: The Ultimate Example of Kindness
Jesus didn’t just teach kindness—He lived it.
• He touched the untouchable
• He fed the hungry
• He forgave the guilty
• He loved the unlovable
And ultimately…
He went to the cross.
That wasn’t random.
That was intentional love.
But to us—it feels like the greatest act of kindness ever given.
Conclusion
Church, imagine what would happen if we left this place today committed to kindness.
• Homes would change
• Communities would shift
• Hearts would soften
• Lives would be transformed
You don’t need a title.
You don’t need a platform.
All you need is a willing heart.
Call to Action
This week, I challenge you:
Perform at least one act of kindness every day
Do it quietly
Do it sincerely
Do it for God’s glory
And watch what God does.
Closing Prayer
Father God,
Thank You for Your kindness toward us—even when we didn’t deserve it.
Lord, help us to be vessels of Your love.
Open our eyes to opportunities to bless others.
Give us hearts that are compassionate, hands that are willing, and spirits that reflect You.
Let our kindness point people to You.
Let our lives shine in a dark world.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Jesus,
I know that I need You.
I believe You died for my sins

change me,………and lead me ……from this day forward.
I trust You as my Savior,
Thank You for loving me and saving me.
Amen.
